UV-Light

UV(Ultraviolet) light

Safe and effective in helping to eliminate airborne allergens, bacteria. Reduces odors by treating the air/furnace with UV sterilization all day.

The unit creates pure air naturally, by using the natural elements of invisible Ultra Violet light (UV) - light that is emitted by the sun at the violet end of its spectrum. Through innovative, safe and environmental friendly technologies, this UV air treatment system cleanses residential air without ozone - and for only pennies a day! Many tests have proven that UVC Lighting installed in the air supply of a heating or cooling unit gradually eliminates a high percentage of harmful bacteria from residential air treated within homes. Designed to meet the growing consumer demand for clean air in the home, the Breathe Easy UV system can easily be installed and maintained in furnaces by your local contractor. Each separate unit is designed to provide optimum UV treatment of up to 3,000 s.f., providing clean air at considerably less cost than other UV treatment products or filtration systems currently available on the market.Sisters

How UV Light Works

Ultraviolet light possesses just the right amount of energy to break organic molecular bonds. As micro organisms pass by the UV rays radiated from the ultraviolet lamp, this bond breakage translates into cellular or genetic damage for micro-organisms, such as germs, viruses, bacteria, fungi (prevent molds), etc. This results in the destruction of the micro-organisms.

UV Light for decontamination

The Centers of Disease Control (CDC) recommends the use of ultraviolet light with simultaneous use of HEP A air filters, both of Which are offered in Surround Air multi-function air purifiers.

The Air Institute of Respiratory Education suggests UV lights be used in buildings for indoor air quality purposes, and states that may be the final line of defense against those diseases that have developed resistance to drugs, such as tuberculosis and others.

The U.S. Government requires UV lamps above cooling coils for government buildings and uses UV lamps to control microbial growth in buildings. Now the average homeowner can apply the same safety measures in their own living spaces. Considering the well-reported dangers of mold and bacteria in the home, it just makes sense to attack these problems at the source. You can to, with a dealer-installed Breathe Easy UV Germicidal Lamp.

Natural UV Light effect

According to the Aero-biological Engineering Dept. at Penn State University, the ultraviolet component of sunlight is the main reason microbes die in the outdoor air. The die-off rate in the outdoors varies from one pathogen to another, but can be anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes for a 90-99% killing of viruses or contagious bacteria.
